Interfacing with external programs
Over the years, Thorin has been involved in a broad range of interfacing activities between DataFax and external sources of information.
Often the randomization of patients is accomplished through a third party, so the third party is the primary source of information of which Patients are allocated to which Investigator. This source of information can often be used to automate the update of the clinical Centers database in DataFax, avoiding errors and saving on manual labor.
Or part of the clinical data originates from other sources, like a clinical lab. Either the lab data needs to be combined with the CRF data into a single database. Or the lab data can be imported into DataFax for further review by investigators, like an assessment by the investigator of Clinical Significance.
Another example of interfacing would be where information from DataFax is required in Trial Management Systems. Over the years, Thorin has created a number of interfaces between DataFax and third-party Trial Management systems.
